Leading HubSpot Partner Adds Senior Consultant to Its Nationally Recognized Team
IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - May 13, 2016) - SmartBug Media, a leading inbound marketing agency assisting businesses in generating leads, increasing awareness, and building brand loyalty, is pleased to announce the recent hire of Katie Gutwein as a Senior Inbound Marketing Consultant. Gutwein will play a lead role in executing inbound and content marketing strategies to help a portfolio of clients to exceed their sales and marketing goals.
Gutwein brings almost 10 years of marketing and sales experience to SmartBug. In the 18 months leading to her hire, she served as Content Marketing Manager at SpringCM, a Chicago-based Software-as-a-Service company. In her role, she managed SpringCM's HubSpot platform, owned the company's inbound strategy, and helped bridge the gap between sales and marketing.
Previous to her time at SpringCM, Gutwein spent five years as Director of Marketing and Social Media at KBK Communications, an inbound marketing agency that works with medical manufacturers and distributors. She developed KBK's inbound marketing program and implemented HubSpot for all of the agency's clients.

Gutwein started her career in sales with the Chicago Sun-Times and ABC/ESPN Radio Networks. A 2006 graduate of Valparaiso University, Gutwein is an avid runner and triathlete and considers herself a health nut. She lives in suburban Chicago with her husband and twin baby daughters.
