Public Relations to Become Added Focus for Nationally Recognized Agency in 2017

Clark will lead the development of the public relations strategy for SmartBug Media and for the agency’s portfolio of clients looking to increase visibility through media relations. The strategic hire of Clark is centered around the expansion of the agency’s core services which, starting in 2017, will include the option of public relations for clients looking for added exposure.
Clark has worked professionally in public relations and communications for over a decade. She brings an in-depth understanding of media relations, strategic planning and PR best practices to SmartBug Media. Clark was previously a Director of Media Relations where she created and managed the mainstream media strategies and led analyst relations for clients within a leading B2B legal marketing agency, Edge Legal Marketing.
Prior to her time at Edge, Clark has handled public relations in a corporate setting, at an agency and through her own efforts. She was hired to take a lead role in the creation of a communications and public relations strategy for the merger between Northwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines for the pilots of Northwest, through the union. She worked with worldwide media and created messaging for the 5,100 pilots, the media and stakeholders.

Clark started her career by establishing her own agency, Square Planet Entertainment, where she managed and promoted musical acts throughout the United States. She received her B.A. from Metropolitan State University and her MBA in Marketing from the University of Phoenix. She lives in a suburb of Charleston, SC with her husband and two children.
